On Thursday, May 3 at 7:30 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History will
present A Large and Difficult Challenge: Disentangling Whales and Sea
Turtles
with Scott Landry, Director of the Marine Animal Entanglement Response
Program, Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies.

In an illustrated power point presentation Scott will speak about the
history of whale entanglement rescue, regulations pertaining to whale
conservation, conservation efforts especially in U.S. waters, entanglement
and disentanglement techniques, monitoring entangled whales through
telemetry and whale hazards.
Learn about the risks and the rewards of disentangling a great whale from a
small boat.

rescue and research of these majestic marine mammals right off our shores.
