Conference sponsored by the Mass Marine Educators.   

 

Boston Harbor Educators Conference

Date/Time: Saturday, October 1, 2010 - 8:00am to 4:00pm

Location: UMass Boston - McCormack Hall

Cost:   $40 for early bird/ $50 for walk-in

 

"National Assets of Boston Harbor and its Islands for Teaching and
Learning."  Boston Harbor is a national treasure -- for its intrinsic
beauty, its wealth of resources and its place in American history.
Whether one is interested in politics and government, maritime history,
marine biology, coastal geology, water quality, art or popular music,
the harbor provides a setting for inspiration, reflection and study. The
conference this year will focus on how to make the islands an element in
your classroom lessons. A field trip to Georges Island is included in
the conference program.
