On Saturday, November 5 at 3:30 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History
will present Joanne 'Joey' Mason and her program Keeping Company with
Kestrels. $5/Member, $7/Non-Member.
Joanne will share her 22 years of research and experiences with the
rapidly declining American Kestrels in southeastern Massachusetts, including
monitoring nest boxes, eating behavior, structure and hunting habits.
The mission of Keeping Company with Kestrels Inc. is "to conduct research
and provide education about raptors and to develop methods of making
man-made structures raptor friendly, thus enabling human development to
co-exist with birds of prey."
This presentation is a special opportunity to hear from an expert about
this handsome falcon that graced Cape Cod in high numbers until recently and
how we can help to protect them and other raptors.
