[SEMCO] Magnificent Mushrooms this Sunday!

Mycologist Lawrence Millman is back by popular demand to lead another
mushroom walk at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. 

 

The walk is scheduled for Sunday, December 4 at 1 p.m. and will explore
the sanctuary at a time of year mushrooms like to hide, so we'll be
searching under logs and in patches of moss. The identification and
ecology of mushrooms will be discussed. Dr. Millman will also have
copies of his book Fascinating Fungi of New England available for sale
and signing. Note: The focus of this walk is not on edibles and mushroom
collection on sanctuary property is prohibited.

 

Registration is required; walk-ins welcome, space permitting. Cost is $7
for Mass Audubon members and $9 for non-members.
