Seabird & Whale Tales Excursion
Sunday, September 11, 2011
10 am to 6 pm
Join us for our fall Seabird & Whale Tales excursion. This annual fundraising event is scheduled for Sunday, September 11th and proceeds support marine education and wildlife conservation. We leave the dock at 10 am from the Town Wharf in Plymouth, MA and head for waters off Cape Cod to view whales, seabirds, seals, basking sharks and other unique coastal marine wildlife found in our New England waters.
During our excursion offshore, enjoy commentary from our wildlife experts including Wayne Petersen (Mass Audubon), David Clapp (Natural History Services), Krill Carson (Captain John Whale Watching and Fishing Tours), Jim Sweeney (South Shore Bird Club) and Dr. John Jahoda (Bridgewater State University). Travel aboard the “Tails of the Sea”, a 110’ luxury commercial whale watching vessel owned and operated by Captain John Whale Watching and Fishing Tours out of Plymouth, MA.
Trip activities include a plankton tow and demonstration, chumming for seabirds and a free onboard nature-themed raffle.
Tickets: Pre-Sale $90 and then ticket prices increase to $100 after August 31st.
