Restoration Ecologist, The Coalition for Buzzards Bay

The Coalition for Buzzards Bay seeks an experienced and motivated professional Restoration Ecologist to assist this rapidly growing regional conservation organization with the development and implementation of river and wetland ecological restoration projects throughout the Buzzards Bay watershed.  The full-time position reports directly to and works closely with the Vice-President for Watershed Protection and joins a talented staff and dedicated Board of Directors.



The ideal candidate will have a related degree plus more than 4 years of professional experience with aquatic habitat restoration, stream and wetland functional assessment, and natural resource monitoring.   The position requires knowledge of environmental permitting, the ability to interpret scientific and engineering documents and demonstrated competency with project management, coordination of project partners, plus management of consultants and construction contractors.  The individual must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for the protection of Buzzards Bay.
