Conserving and Generating Energy in the Human & Animal Worlds Focus of
"Super$avers" Event at Mass Audubon.

Programs for All Ages throughout the Day are Free with Sanctuary
Admission!

Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary kicks off the new year
with "Super$avers" on Saturday, January 15, 2011, a fun and educational
event focusing on how humans and animals can conserve, and generate,
energy. This special program features guided activities for all ages
that are free with Mass Audubon membership or regular sanctuary
admission. This is the first event in the exciting new series
Celebration Saturdays happening monthly at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife
Sanctuary.

The excitement begins Saturday, January 15 with "Super$avers" with
activities scheduled from 9:30 am-4:15 pm. Families can build a "green"
house by choosing materials, constructing the model, and testing their
design with a special challenge; adults can take part in a presentation
by Kevin Galligan, efficiency expert from Cape Light Compact, to learn
about easy, cost-effective, and innovative practices to save energy in
the home; and children (or the young at heart!) can discover how animals
stay warm in the winter through stories, games, crafts, and experiments.
The day also features building tours of the sanctuary's LEED certified
green nature center and "Healthy Hikes," in which participants can
generate their own energy in a brisk guided trail hike!

Sanctuary website under "Sanctuary News." Remember, the activities are
free with sanctuary admission, and they don't require any
pre-registration. So pack a lunch and stay all day! For more information
