   The Friends of the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History will present

Songs of the Sea with Robbie O'Connell and Dan Milner on Saturday, January
14, 2012 at 2 pm. The admission is $15. Reservations are required and can be
made with a Museum staff member at 508-896-3867 Monday-Friday 10am-3 pm.

 

   This upbeat and fun concert, recommended for mature audiences, will focus
on older and traditional songs that would otherwise be lost to the passage
of time, conveying universal themes, historical content and good humor.
Refreshments will be served.

 

Robbie O'Connell toured as part of The Clancy Brothers. A song writer,
teacher and host of music themed group travel to Ireland, he produced a new
CD in 2010, The Clancy Legacy.

 

Dan Milner teaches Storytelling in Song: The Ballad Tradition at New York
University and is a staff member of The Journal of New York Folklore. His
book of Irish and British folk songs, The Bonnie Bunch of Roses, is
considered a classic.
