On Wednesday, October 20 at 2 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in
Brewster will present "Dig for the Oyster...Dig," a discussion of the books
by Mark Kurlansky in the Clarence Hay Library. Museum admission is free for
attendees.
Despite humble-sounding titles, Mark Kurlansky's books, especially Salt, Cod
and The Big Oyster, encompass the fascinating history and economies of the
world and the ocean.
You are encouraged to read at least one book, so that you will be able to
participate. If you are short of time, Kurlansky has written children's
versions of both Salt and Cod. The Story of Salt and The Tale of the Cod,
which go much faster.
The discussion leaders are Sue Marcus and Sue Carr.
Please join us on October 20th for a fascinating discussion.
