[SEMCO] 2010 Marine Art Contest Now Underway

The annual marine art contest sponsored by Massachusetts Marine 
Educators is now underway.  The theme is "Amazing Ocean Creatures of 
Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary and the Gulf of Maine." 
Students in grades K-12 (and equivalent home schoolers) are invited to 
submit their entries to this free contest.  Teachers, including art, 
biology, marine science, and computer graphics instructors, are 
encouraged to enter their students' works.

Deadline for entries is April 25, 2010.  For more information about the 
contest, contact Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary education

The contest is co-sponsored by: Stellwagen Bank National Marine 
Sanctuary, New England Aquarium, Provincetown Center for Coastal 
Studies, Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, Stellwagen Alive and 
the Blue Bunny Bookstore.  Prizes include whale watch tickets from the 
Dolphin Fleet, cash awards, passes to the New England Aquarium, and 
certificates.
