Helping Horseshoe Crabs by Bob Prescott

Join Bob Prescott, Director of the MassAudubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, as he describes the ecology of and threats to the horseshoe crab (Limulus polyphemus).  Under Bob Prescott's guidance, volunteers have been surveying the distribution of horseshoe crabs to better understand populations.  Having survived since the age of the dinosaurs, horseshoe crabs have suffered a precipitous decline.  Learn about efforts to restore this ancient creature that is also valued by commercial fishing and biomedical interests.
