FREE event:  Meet Your Local Farmers, Saturday, April 24th, 2-4pm

  

The Cape & Islands Farm Bureau and the Harwich Conservation Trust are co-sponsoring a free "Meet Your Local Farmers" event on Saturday, April 24th from 2-4pm at the Harwich Community Center (100 Oak St., Harwich, 02645).  Kick-off the 2010 growing season, meet local farmers from around Cape Cod and learn more about locally grown products as well as farm-related activities for all ages.

Value-added local products:

 

Learn about local businesses that enhance local products with that special something that sets them apart from the rest.  For example, learn more about jellies and jams made with local berries by Cranberry Harvest, smoked fish and clams made by Dave's Ribs with locally caught fish, and local lobster pies made by Lori Caran.

 

 

The "Meet Your Local Farmers" event is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Cape & Islands Farm Bureau (www.capecodfarms.com) and the Harwich Conservation Trust (www.HarwichConservationTrust.org).
