April Vacation Week
Family Programs at Long Pasture!

Monday, April 19th at 1 pm: Beach Birds

The plovers are here! The plovers are here! Learn about some of the
threatened shorebirds that live on Cape Cod beaches, play wild bird
games, and build tern shelters that will help shade chicks on the
hottest days of summer.

Wednesday, April 21st at 1 pm: Eco Olympics

Climate and weather - what's the difference? What causes climate change
? What can we do about climate change? Through games, activities and
experiments, and using imitation ice cores samples, everyone will enjoy
learning about our climate!

Thursday, April 22nd at 1 pm: Salt The Whale

Join Carol "Krill" Carson for an exciting family presentation on the
life of Salt, the most famous humpback whale in the world! Learn how
Salt got her name and how the story of her life is helping scientists
learn more about humpback whales worldwide. And take a few minutes to
check out some neat whale artifacts like baleen, whale bones and whale
food, including sandlance and copepods. And enjoy some fun arts & craft
activities before the presentation. For the finale, we will inflate a
giant whale!
