Subject: Save the Date! Adaptive Management Symposium

Save the Date! On March 30-31, 2010 in Oxford, Mississippi the
National Sea Grant Law Center will host its third annual symposium in
conjunction with the Sea Grant Law and Policy Journal. The theme for
2010 is "Addressing Uncertainty of Environmental Problems: The
Challenges of Adaptive Management."

The Symposium will feature, among other topics, the Columbia River
Basin and National Marine Sanctuaries experience with adaptive
management and the challenges of adaptively managing conservation
easement lands. Professor Bryan Norton from Georgia Tech will be
speaking on sustainability and environmental ethics. A professor from
England will discuss the challenges facing local coastal communities
trying to implement EU directives on climate change. The papers from
these presentations will be published in July 2010.
