"In My Back Yard" Join Luke Hinkle,  as he discusses the practical applications of solar energy. Brooks Free Library, 739 Main St., Harwich, Thursday April 2, 2009, 7:00 pm   "There is a nuclear power plant 100 million miles away beaming energy right to your house. Why does solar energy make sense now? How does it work? What are the economics of installing it on a house or business?"
These questions will be answered with compelling illustrations and practical examples.
Hinkle received a Ph.D in Physics from Pennsylvania State University in 1989, worked at MKS Instrments, taught advanced math and science at Falmouth High School for five years, and is the Founder of My Generation Energy, a solar energy installation and development company based in Brewster. He also serves on the Board of Directors for a science society, AVS, with over 3000 international members focusing on advancing technologies associated with renewable energy.Mary J Metzger
