Exploring Pitch Pine Scrub Oak Barrens: Quashnet River Trail
Join Waquoit Bay Research Reserve's Stewardship Coordinator Jim Rassman
on a walk in the Quashnet River woodlands to learn about the history,
fire ecology, and wildlife species associated with these unique and
threatened landscapes. This walk is part of Cape Cod Pathways Walking
Weekend. (1- 2 miles)
Saturday, June 6 9 AM
Heart Healthy Trail Walk: Quashnet River Trail
Join a ranger on a walk to celebrate the designation of this trail as
part of the DCR Heart Healthy Trail system.
Location: Quashnet River Parking lot on Martin Rd East Falmouth, MA.
Take Route 28 from Waquoit Village or Mashpee Commons, Martin Road is a
small loop road on the north side of 28. Look for the parking lot with
kiosk.
Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. For more
