Join Gil Newton, educator and author, for a lively discussion of local

ways that our land based activities may increase algal growth leading to
coastal problems.
Mr. Newton will demonstrate techniques for artfully pressing and
preserving specimens and he will be available to sell and sign copies of
his new field guide, containing delicate drawings of the various species
by Nancy Minegrode. Afterwards we will walk the shore in search of
specimens to take home and press.
