Information about SEA Semester: Oceans and Climate
SEA Semester: Oceans and Climate is a semester program for undergraduate
science students offering an in-depth study of the oceans' role in the
climate system, including courses in ocean science and public policy, and
nautical science. Students from around the country are living and studying
on the SEA campus for six weeks, in preparation for a six-week research
cruise aboard the SEA sailing research vessel, SSV Robert C. Seamans, from
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to Tahiti, French Polynesia.

As part of the Oceans and Climate program, SEA welcomes three Distinguished
Lecturers who will present classroom lectures and labs, and participate in
research discussions with the students. In addition, each scientist will
give a research seminar that is open to the local scientific community.
