[SEMCO] Long Pasture farm Day on Saturday!

Dear Friends,

 

With Long Pasture's farming history and the popularity of our resident
goats, it seems only natural to celebrate local agriculture with Farm
Day! Our lawn will be alive with animals, educational exhibits, and
farmers selling locally made products. This daylong event features
something for all ages - from lectures to goat bingo. Please come by!

Saturday, October 25th 10 am - 4 pm

 

 

Come play a game of goat bingo! Curious about what that entails? Then
join us for a Cape Cod Farm Festival overlooking Barnstable Harbor!
Families can

 

v Meet local Cape Codders who are sustainably producing food and goods

v Get to know llamas, alpacas, chickens, turkeys and rabbits

v Observe spinning and cider-making

v Examine earthworms and composting

v Get "flushed" down a model toilet

v Lectures on Organic Farming by Tim Friary and Sustainability by Chris
Powicki

v Learn about organic gardening, fishing, lobsters, solar power and more

v And don't forget about Goat Chip Bingo and walking with our resident
goats!
