PELLETS, PAWS AND PINE CONES 
School Vacation Week Programs  December 27-30 1-2 pm
Free with Museum Admission



Saturday, December 27 - OWL DAY
Five fascinating facts about owls followed by a short DVD about the
formation of owl pellets. Groups will split up to hear owl stories in the
library and view the stuffed bird exhibit including owl sounds, make owl
puppets using brown paper bags, or dissect sterile owl pellets. 

Sunday, December 28 - WILD NEIGHBORS DAY
What are the right ways to help our wild animal neighbors? Learn how common
objects in our backyards can be harmful or beneficial. 
Pine cone/Crisco feeders will be made as a craft. 

Monday, December 29 - CREATURE FEATURE DAY
Museum creatures - alive and preserved. See their amazing biology from our
tidal pool residents to insects, turtles, birds and even skulls explained by
our Museum naturalist volunteers.

Tuesday, December 30 - THERAPY DOG DAY
Join Gina Hayes of Just Dogs and her therapy dog friends as they demonstrate
the joy and skills that therapy dogs bring to all in need of comfort.
