On February 14 at 2:00 PM the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster
will present a February book discussion led by Marcia Dalton on Marshes by
William Burt and Sippewissett: Or, Life on a Salt Marsh by Tim Traver. Dr.
Dalton is on the faculty of the Cape Cod Community College and is a trail
guide at the Museum. Admission to the Museum is free for program attendees.
Tim Traver writes with the knowledge of a scientist and the perspective of a
poet, enhanced by a lifetime of summers spent on the Sippewissett marsh.
Marshes is an extraordinary photographic "show-and-tell" of the marshes of
North America.
The books will be available at the Clarence Hay Library, the Museum Store,
through CLAMS, and the Brewster Book Store (20 % off with a coupon which is
available at the front desk of the Museum).
Join with other like-minded people who are concerned about the future of our
planet, and learn the everyday things that each of us can do to reverse the
direction in which we are headed. New materials relating to sustainability
and saving animal species will be placed on the table just inside the
library.
For further information, please contact the Cape Cod Museum of Natural
History,
508-896-3867, Ext. 129.
