Store & Exhibit Manager - Full Time / Part Time

Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies is seeking a gift shop, interactive
exhibit and online store manager.  This position requires full-time hours
throughout the spring and summer months, decreasing to part-time throughout
the winter season.

Essential Functions: Oversight and maintenance of the gift shop, exhibit and
online store.  Merchandising, inventory and cost analysis, financial
reporting, scheduling and advertising.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements: Strong understanding of marketing,
advertising and promotion. Ability to operate and program merchant
machinery, maintain shop and exhibit.  Basic computer software proficiently,
excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility required.

2 years or more of management experience required.  This is a salaried
position and benefits are available.

Human Resource & Office Coordinator - Part Time


Human Resource and Office Coordinator needed to provide general
administrative support to PCCS staff. This is a part-time position with
benefits available. Duties include clerical, receptionist and facilities
management assistance.


General Tasks include: Management of insurance and retirement plans.  Assist
with administrative tasks and serve as contact for maintenance work.
Responsible for ordering office supplies. Management of personnel files,
payroll changes, new hire, termination arrangements and daily filing.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements: Proficiency with standard computer software
and hardware, including Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal
communication skills. Applicant must have the ability to establish
priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.

Friendly disposition, strong interpersonal skills and at least Associates
degree with course work in business administration, other related course, or
equivalent combination of education and experience required.

PROVINCETOWN CENTER FOR COASTAL STUDIES

Marine Educators (2-4)

Full-time and Part-time marine educators needed from May through October,
2008. Applicants must have knowledge of the flora and fauna of the Gulf of
Maine, particularly knowledge of cetaceans. Duties include interpreting the
natural history of the marine ecosystem; data collection, including photo-id
documentation of humpback whales; fundraising; and promoting the work and
goals of the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies aboard commercially
owned and operated whale watching vessels.


Additional duties may include coastal ecology and salt marsh interpretation
and lectures to students grades 5 - college level. Qualified candidates must
have lecture and teaching experience and a degree in biology or related
field. Previous marine education experience and boat experience preferred.
