Mike O'Connor is the owner of the Bird Watcher's General Store in Orleans,
writer of the weekly "Ask the Bird Folks" column in the Cape Codder, and
author of his new book, "Why Don't Woodpeckers Get Headaches"

 

Mike opened the Bird Watcher's General Store in 1983.  Since that time, he
has answered thousands of questions about birds.  The questions have ranged
from inquiries about specific species to what and when to feed birds
("Should I bring my feeders in for the summer") to the down-and-dirty
specifics of backyard birding ("Why are birds dropping poop in my pool").  

 

Anyone who is familiar with Mike's column will know that this talk will be
fact-filled (Mike really knows his birds), but at the same time entertaining
and full of humor and some sarcasm.

 

After the program, Mike will be autographing his new book "Why Don't
Woodpeckers Get Headaches?"
