The Massachusetts State Senate unanimously passed
Senate Bill S-536, which would limit phosphates in household detergents. Now
the bill is in the House Ways and Means Committee. Letters of Support may be
sent to:
Robert A. Deleo, Chairman, House Ways & Means Committee, Room
243, State House, Boston MA 02133 Email: Robert.DeLeo at state.ma.us
Salvatore F. Dimasi, Speaker of the House, Room 356, State
House, Boston MA 02133, Email: Rep.SalvatoreDiMasi at hou.state.ma.us
If this bill becomes law, Massachusetts will be the second state
to implement what is one easy partial solution to the vexing problem of
phosphorus loading into our waterways.
P is for Phosphorus, P is for Ponds
