On Wednesday, March 14 from 7:00-9:00 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural
History in Brewster will host "Dinner for 50 Tons: A story of one of the
largest animals on the planet feeding on one of the smallest," presented by
Dr. Mark Baumgartner of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.

 

This lecture, the second in a six-week lecture series on the critically
endangered North Atlantic Right Whale, is being sponsored by the Whale and
Dolphin Conservation Society (N.A.) and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine
Sanctuary.  

 

The charge per class will be $5.00 for students and members of CCMNH or
WCDS, $6.00 for non-members.  Twelve Professional Development Points are
available for educators attending all six programs.  Each lecture will be
supplemented by an extra 45 minute session that provides resource materials
and ideas for classroom activities.  Fee for all six lectures is $30.00.
Reservations by credit card will be accepted Monday through Friday and will
close February 28.
