On Wednesday, March 7 from 7:00-9:00 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural
History in Brewster will host "Grappling with Giants: disentangling large
whales and understanding entanglement," presented by Scott Landry of the
Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies.

 

This lecture, the first in a six-week lecture series on the critically
endangered North Atlantic Right Whale, is being sponsored by the Whale and
Dolphin Conservation Society (N.A.) and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine
Sanctuary.  

 

The charge per class will be $5.00 for students and members of CCMNH or
WCDS, $6.00 for non-members.  Twelve Professional Development Points are
available for educators attending all six programs.  Each lecture will be
supplemented by an extra 45 minute session that provides resource materials
and ideas for classroom activities.  Fee for all six lectures is $30.00.
Reservations by credit card will be accepted Monday through Friday and will
close February 28.
