Join the New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance (NECWA) for an exciting,
offshore marine adventure called "Seabird and Whale Tales 2006." This
all day excursion will depart from Plymouth Harbor on Sunday, June 11th
at 8 AM in search of seabirds, whales and pelagic fish in the waters
off southern New England.
Wayne Peterson and David Clapp from Mass Audubon will be onboard
providing commentary on seabirds sighted offshore. Dr. John Jahoda
from Bridgewater State College will provide commentary on the whales
and pelagic fish sighted during the trip.
Tickets are $75. Make your reservations early. This promises to be a
terrific day of observing New england's marine wildlife and seats will
fill quickly!! Plus, seating is limited to ensure plenty of viewing
space along the rails.
To register, go to the NEBShark's website at www.nebshark.org and
click on "Seabird and Whale Tales 2006". Complete the registration
form and include payment (check or money order only) payable to NECWA.
Mail form and payment to NECWA at 11 Clarence Soule Drive, Middleboro,
MA 02346.
Profits from "Seabird and Whale Tales 2006" will be provided to
NEBShark (The New England Basking Shark Project) to support research
and conservation on basking sharks and ocean sunfish in the waters off
New England. NEBShark is a project spearheaded by The New England
Coastal Wildlife Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to better
understanding and conserving New England’s unique coastal wildlife.
