Greenland's Melting Glaciers- Global Warming Briefing
In a stunning discovery aboard the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise this past
summer, two Maine scientists found new evidence that Greenland's glaciers
are melting at an unprecedented rate. Global warming is no longer on the
horizon, it has arrived at our doorstep, and since we live in a coastal
community, that's not just a figure of speech. The scientists discovered
that a Greenland glacier has accelerated in the past nine years exceeding
all expectations and has now become one of the fastest moving glaciers in
the world.
Come learn more about these findings and what you can do to help curb global
warming.
