SPECIAL INVITATION TO ORGANIZATIONS

The New Years Day gathering in Woods Hole is becoming a Cape Cod tradition!

Environmentalists and others meet in Woods Hole, on the first day of each
year, to talk about what they want to accomplish during the year ahead... At
noon, there's a colorful family parade around Eel Pond. Lots of holiday
noisemakers, bright flags, and silly costumes. At Waterfront Park, people
"toast the coast" with non-alcoholic beverages. Individuals make their new years
resolutions for environmental protection and human rights... Afterwards,
there's a potluck party at the Woods Hole Community Hall.

The Sierra Club and Falmouth's "No Place for Hate" organization are two of
the non-profit groups responsible for assembling the January 1st events in
Woods Hole... For this coming January, we want to involve more community groups,
schools, congregations, and other organizations in the celebration... If
your organization would like to endorse and participate in the January 1st
events, please let me know as soon as possible....

There's no charge for participation and this is not a "commercial event."
However, we do ask for some help with publicity. The organizations
involved are membership groups active on Cape Cod and the neighboring islands...
Come join us for the first day of the year!

Thank you,

Bob Murphy
