WHOI Sea Grant "Oceans Alive" Lecture:
Young Scientists Present: Winning Science Fair Projects
Tuesday, April 27, 4:00 p.m.
Redfield Auditorium, Water Street, Woods Hole
In a science town, the scientists come in many shapes and sizes, and in
a wide range of ages. Join us for special presentations by local high
school students as they discuss their winning science fair projects.
Projects and presenters will include:
- "Ozone Depletion and White Pines" by Megan Starr, Falmouth Academy
- " The Effect of High and Low Sound Frequencies on Artemia salina:
Modeling the Effect of the Proposed Nantucket Sound Wind Farm on the
Surrounding Aquatic Environment" by Stephanie Pommrehn, Falmouth Academy
- "Host Range of the Endoparasitic Dinoflagellate Amoebophrya" by Phoebe
Poole, Falmouth High School
- "Effects of Potential Endocrine Disruptors on Daphnia Magna" by Sarah
Shepher, Falmouth High School
