The Waquoit Bay NERR is offering a free course on Groundwater and Pollution Issues. Each Monday in November from 3:00-5:00pm a different topic will be offered by local experts each week.  Registration is preferred, but walk-ins always welcome.  Sessions will be held at the Waquoit Bay Research Reserve at 149 Waquoit Highway (Route 28).
 
Nov. 3 (3-5PM) Groundwater Basics-Gabrielle Belfit, Hydrologist, Cape Cod Commission
Nov. 10 (3-5PM) Septic Systems and Alternatives-George Heufelder, Director, Barnstable County Health Department
Nov. 17 (3-5PM) Clean-up at the Massachusetts Military Reservation, Dan Miller, Geologist, Installation Restoration Program
Nov. 24 (3-5PM) Community Solutions-Tom Fudala, Mashpee Town Planner, Amy Lowell, Falmouth Wastewater Superintendent and Gussie McKusick of Orleans
