Dive and Discover, an interactive distance-learning web site, is live
from the New England Seamounts through June 17. Scientists aboard the
R/V Atlantis are searching for deep sea corals, whose skeletons may
reveal how Earth’s climate rapidly cooled or warmed in the past and
could provide clues as to how it might change in the future. Read daily
updates about the ongoing science, view video clips taken from the
submersible Alvin, and email scientists questions about their research.

Free posters for this expedition are available by registering on the
site, http://www.divediscover.whoi.edu. (Click the “Teacher Resources”
button and submit the form.) If you have any trouble registering, please
email your name, address, and email to info@whoi.edu.
