Evening Bayside Talks:
A Lecture Series Focusing on the Nature of Cape Cod
Every Wednesday 7:30 p.m. in July & August at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary
July 23 The Gulf of Maine Expedition
Tom Teller, kayaker who joined an expedition in which four kayakers paddled over a thousand miles from Cape Cod to Nova Scotia.
July 30 Stranger than Fiction: Stories of Endangered Species Crime
Jessica Speart, author of acclaimed mystery series that focus on endangered species issues.
August 6 Coyotes in the Neighborhood
Peter Trull, naturalist and author, will focus on coyote biology, natural history, and human interactions on Cape Cod.
August 13 Staging Terns in Nantucket Sound
Simon Perkins, Mass Audubon ornithologist, presents information on research conducted in Nantucket Sound to determine tern activity in light of the proposed wind farm.
August 20 Poetry in Motion: A Season on the bike Trail
Eric Levy, naturalist and poet, describes his experiences through poetry and photographs as seasonal ranger along the Cape Cod Bike Trail.
August 29 Inland Fishes
Karsten Hartel, author and scientist, discusses the fish found on Cape Cod.
Cost for Lectures is $4 for Mass. Audubon member and $5 nonmembers. Weekly announcements detailing each lecture will be sent under separate cover.

The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the west side of Route 6, immediately north of the Eastham/Wellfleet town line. Trails are open daily 8 am to dusk. Sanctuary admission is free for members; $5 adults, $3 children for non-members. Call (508) 349-2615 for information.
