Sue Halpern, author of Four Wings and a Prayer, will talk about one of the

Monarch butterflies from as far north as Canada find their way each year to
their wintering grounds on 50 acres of forests in the mountains of Mexico.
In Four Wings and a Prayer, Ms. Halpern explores this fabulous journey
through her encounters with scientists and butterfly experts around the
country. Sue Halpern is also the author of Migrations to Solitude. Her work
has appeared in Granta, The New York Review of Books, The New York Times,
Audubon, Mother Jones, Rolling Stone, and Orion, among other publications.
She lives in a small town in the Adirondack Mountains of New York.
