Culture

The Cooperative Institute for New England mariculture and Fisheries
(CINEMar) and the Open Ocean Aquaculture Demonstration Project at the
University of New Hampshire invites proposals that focus on economic
assessments of the commercialization potential of mussel culture in open
ocean environments.   Approximately $50,000 has been allocated to fund
one or more projects on this topic.

The request for proposals (RFP) contains information on the background
and status of the Open Ocean Aquaculture Demonstration Project, focus
areas for economic assessments, criteria for proposal evaluation,
guidelines for preparing proposal, a proposal development calendar and
contact information for questions regarding proposal ideas and
submission. The deadline for submission of full proposals is April 16,
