2. Executive Director

  * Description: The International League of Conservation Photographers
    (iLCP) is seeking a new Executive Director to manage and expand the
    organization. iLCP tells stories that change the world and we are
    looking for a visionary leader with dreams as big as the
    photographers to be the face of our organization. The ideal
    candidate should have executive level experience in nonprofit
    management and development. The ideal candidate also should have
    experience in conservation communication, and/or a background
    working with photographers. The Executive Director is responsible
    for overseeing administration, fundraising, programs, serves as the
    spokesperson to the outside world and is responsible for creating
    and implementing the strategic plan of iLCP. The position reports

3. Executive Director

  * Description: You will head a start-up organization and will
    initially be the sole staff member of BAF as you refine the strategy
    that has been developed for it and launch its program and
    operations. You will be supported on the program side with technical
    and ocean conservation expertise (in the first months particularly
    for project evaluation) by an experienced international conservation
    organization. On the operational side, financial reporting and some
    administrative functions will be supported by Nature Trust Alliance,
    a conservation trust fund shared services organization based in
    Frankfurt. During the first year, in addition to launching the
    program and developing BAF's internal procedures, you will assess
    the organization's staffing needs with your Supervisory Board. You
    might hire one or two persons to support your work for BAF-but you
    will ultimately be the head of an organization that will remain
    quite small.

4. Postdoctoral Fellowship in Marine Biodiversity

  * Location: British Columbia, Canada
  * Description: The Hakai Institute and the Smithsonian Institution's
    MarineGEO program seek candidates for a Postdoctoral Fellow based at
    the University of British Columbia to lead a detailed assessment and
    analysis of biodiversity in coastal benthic habitats of the Calvert
    Island Marine Station on the Central Coast of British Columbia. The
    position is part of an ongoing research program aiming to understand
    nearshore biodiversity of this unique region. The Fellow's time will
    be split equally between leading the "BioBlitz" and complementary
    biodiversity research, with data analysis/manuscript preparation
    stemming from these two activities. Application review begins March

    in terms of the social, environmental and business performance of

    SmartFish's scoping and diagnostic tools, including design of
    questionnaires, definition of indicators, and assessment

6. EarthEcho Expeditions Manager

  * Description: EarthEcho is seeking a self-directed employee to manage
    all aspects of its EarthEcho Expeditions program. One of the
    organization's signature programs, EarthEcho Expeditions is an
    annual program that leverages the rich Cousteau legacy of
    exploration and discovery to bring STEM education content alive for
    today's 21st century learners and their educators. Each EarthEcho
    Expedition begins with a week-long exploration of a geographic area
    facing an environmental crisis, examining the impacts that humans
    have on our global coastal regions and oceans. In conjunction with
    local partners and an annual cohort of 25 educators, we film and
    produce an education module for each Expedition that combines
    vibrant exploration videos, environmental audits, examples of
    environmental actions championed by youth, profiles of STEM
    professionals, and live virtual events as the tools necessary for
    educators to engage youth with content that educates and inspires
    action around each Expedition topic, and makes Science, Technology,
    Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) come alive in a blended learning
    environment. Over the next four years, EarthEcho Expeditions is
    slated to explore the topics of water management and scarcity in
    Southern California in 2017; the effects of coastal development and
    human pollution on marine ecosystems and specifically the Great
    Barrier Reef in Australia in 2018; fisheries management in Japan in
    2019; and an as yet undefined topic in Saudi Arabia/UAE in 2020.

7. Marine Scientific Advisor

  * Organization: Wildlife Conservation Society
  * Location: WCS Marine Scientific Advisor, Madagascar
  * Description: The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) seeks a
    Marine Scientific Advisor to contribute to the implementation of its
    marine conservation efforts in Madagascar. WCS develops and leads
    science-based, community-driven field conservation and capacity
    building programs in three priority seascapes: Toliara, Antongil
    Bay, and Nosy Be, and is seeking to establish new MPAs in other
    parts of the country. The marine conservation program primarily
    focuses on: i) working closely with local communities and the
    government to restore local fisheries and protect coastal and
    marine systems; ii) managing marine protected areas recently created
    in the northwest, southwest and northeast and supporting
    establishment of new marineprotected areas, iii) supporting a
    global effort to conserve threatened populations of
    globally important marine species, including cetaceans and sharks
    and rays; iv) training and capacity building in marine conservation
    within and external to WCS, and participation in overall
    marine conservation planning and prioritization in Madagascar. The
    position is based in the capital city of Antananarivo, and will
    require extensive travel to field sites in Madagascar. The WCS

8. Fall 2017 Science & Policy Communications Fellow program

  * Description: The Fellow will spend six months with NOPP offices
    in Arlington and Tysons Corner, VA, to assist staff in working on a
    variety of Program operations, including social media outreach,
    inter-agency meeting coordination and support, and NOPP research
    project development and tracking.  Fellows will have the opportunity
    to regularly engage with Federal agency representatives from the
    Navy, ONR, NOAA, BOEM, USGS, DOE, DOI, NSF, EPA, USACE, and others
    from the ocean governance community in the DC area.

9. Coastal Community and Climate Specialist

10. Senior Development Manager

  * Description: The Senior Development Manager is a member of Oceana
    Europe's fundraising team. S/he will work with the Senior
    Development Director and other senior staff to articulate Oceana's
    major giving/fundraising strategies and will be responsible for
    overseeing their implementation to increase revenue from existing
    and new major donors. To fulfill this role the incumbent will
    acquire an in-depth and intimate knowledge of Oceana's donor
    universe, major donors and prospects and manage the process of
    upgrading donors to higher giving levels. S/he will work
    cooperatively with Oceana staff across the institution. The Senior
    Manager will lead efforts to build Oceana's pipeline of donors and
    will manage the pipeline and workflow of the major gifts program.
    The incumbent will lead the development of proposals and reports for
    major donors and draft other fundraising-related correspondence and
    communication. The Senior Manager assists the Director with the
    management of the European fundraising program and manages a
    Fundraising Officer who assists on all development initiatives and
    events.
