2. Social Data Analyst for Fisheries

  * Description: Reporting to the Chief Scientist and working closely
    other contractor experts on social and economic issues in fisheries,
    the Social Data Analysis contractor will assist SFP in developing
    socio-economic indicators and scores for inclusion in FishSource and
    for tracking fishery improvements. This includes refinement of
    methodologies, data collection, and testing of the
    indicators/scores. In addition, the tasks will include contributing
    to bio-economic modeling of Indonesia blue swimming crab fisheries
    and evaluating the socio-economic impact of ecological improvement
    efforts and government regulations. Finally, the Social Data

    in New York City.  WCS has a long history of ocean exploration and

    bathysphere dive and Roger Payne's extraordinary 1974 discovery of
    humpback whale songs.  From these early roots, and reflecting the
    WCS focus on saving wildlife and wild places, WCS' marine
    conservation efforts currently focus on four strategies: Marine
    Protected Areas, sustainable fisheries, marine mammals, and sharks
    and rays. Supporting these strategies, WCS maintains a strong
    commitment to applied marine scientific research and is building its
    capacity to leverage our impact through WCS' New York Aquarium and

    scale the Director oversees all WCS marine conservation efforts,
