* Description: NMSF supports research, monitoring, restoration,
education, and outreach efforts within our national marine
sanctuaries which are critical for the health of our ocean, coasts,

teach GEOG441 - The Coastal Ocean (course description below)

Ocean -- Introduction to coastal oceanography, focusing on the
physical, biological, and geological aspects of ocean areas on the
inner continental shelves. Wave, currents, and tidal dynamics of
bays, open coast, estuaries, and deltas. Sedimentary environments of
major coastal types. Ecology and biogeochemical relationships,
including benthic and planktonic characteristics. Coastal evolution
with sea level rise. Human impacts: eutrophication, modification of

6. Chief Financial Officer

* Description: As a key member of the senior management team, the CFO
participates in the development and implementation of the
organization's strategic planning, and oversees the organization's
financial operations. This includes oversight of all financial
transactions and the monthly accounting cycle in accordance with
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other accepted
policies, as well as oversight of policy development relating to the
organization's financial operations. It further includes
coordination of financial matters with other departments and
programs of the organization, as well as sanctuary-related,
site-based programs. The CFO supervises the staff of the finance

professionally. With the President and CEO, the CFO serves as
