Faculty Research Assistant that will be the project manager for a 
project researching juvenile Chinook salmon and steelhead life history 
tactics. This project entails research to (1) determine the 
morphological, physiological, and behavioral phenotypes of wild Chinook 
salmon and steelhead as it relates to juvenile migratory performance, 
and (2) develop strategies whereby such phenotypes could be produced 
through artificial rearing. The incumbent will oversee all research and 
fish rearing for the project, working closely with facility managers at 
two research hatchery facilities and with multiple faculty research 
assistants and graduate students. Additionally, the incumbent will be 
responsible for data collection and analysis and appropriate 
dissemination of results including presentations to scientific and 
public groups, reports to funding agency, and manuscripts for 
peer-reviewed journals. The position is located in Corvallis, OR with 
frequent travel throughout the Willamette River Basin and possibly 
statewide.
