AIP Accepting Applications for State Department Fellowship
  The American Institute of Physics (AIP) is _accepting_ 
<http://www.aip.org/gov/fellowships/sdf.html> applications for the 
2014-15 State Department Science Fellowship until November 1^st .

The person selected for the fellowship will work at the State 
Department's Washington, DC headquarters and earn a $70,000 stipend. 
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics or a closely-related field. 
Since AIP will be reviewing the applications, this process is not 
affected by the government shutdown.
