Subject: Two Professorships Available at Greenland Institute of Natural Resources: Fish population dynamics and stock assessment and Marine ecosystem at high trophic levels (fish and shellfish)
Dear all
Applications are invited for 2 Professorships at Greenland Institute of Natural Resources within the research field of:
1. Fish population dynamics and stock assessment
Primary responsibility: quantitative analysis and modelling of marine fisheries biology, including the development of models for the management of fisheries resources and development of methods for fish stock assessment. Modelling activities can be extended to include ecological or economic dimensions.
2. Marine ecosystem at high trophic levels (fish and shellfish)
Primary responsibility: development of tools to improve the understanding on the variability of marine ecosystem and the interaction between the environment, key species influencing ecosystem functioning and fish and shellfish stocks, Quantitative modelling activities can be extended to include ecology, feeding and migration dimensions.
The professorships are affiliated with the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, Department of Fish and Shellfish, Nuuk, Greenland.
The professors will also act as adjunct professor at the National Institute of Aquatic Resources (DTU Aqua) at the Technical University of Denmark. The adjunct professorship is subject to approval by DTU's Academic Council prior to final appointment.
