Postdoc
postdoc at whoi.edu

Dear Ms. Fields,
My name is Chuck Winrich; I am the Director of Natural Science at Babson
College in Wellesley MA. I got your name from Keith Bradley, who is an
adjunct lab instructor for us at Babson, as someone to contact who may
be able help with the recruitment of a new lab instructor for our
Oceanography course.
The position would entail coming to Babson's campus on six days during
the semester (all Wednesdays, but the exact dates are TBA) to help with
the instruction of the lab. In the spring semester, the two sections of
oceanography would run in the afternoons, from 1:40pm to 5pm. The lab
instructor is also responsible for grading the lab reports for the
classes. The position would be appropriate for a PhD student or a
postdoc who might be looking for teaching opportunities.
I understand from Keith that you work with postdocs, so they might also
be interested in knowing that we have two positions open starting fall
2012: a tenure track position (job posting at:
https://babson.peopleadmin.com/postings/1511) and a non-tenure track
position (posted at: https://babson.peopleadmin.com/postings/1510).
Please feel free to forward this to anyone who might be interested in
the adjunct instructor opportunity and/or the job postings. If you would
prefer, I can make a flyer and send it to you for posting on a bulletin
board. Thank you for your time and assistance.
Cheers,
Chuck
