The Academic Programs Office has received posters for NOAA fellowships
in Climate and Global Change and PACE (Postdocs Applying Climate
Expertise) through UCAR. Here are a few details and links to the websites.
The two-year Climate and Global Change Fellowship
<http://www.vsp.ucar.edu/cgc/2011_Program.html> focuses on observing,
understanding, modeling, and predicting climate variability and change
on seasonal or longer time scales. Applications are due January 17,
2011. Preference is given to those who've held a PhD for less than
three years. Fellows become UCAR employees but take the fellowship to
another US institution.
PACE Fellowship <http://www.vsp.ucar.edu/pace/2011_Fellowship.html>
seeks recent or anticipated PhDs who have expertise in climate science
and who are interested in applying their knowledge of the climate system
to increase decision-making capacity in climate-sensitive sectors.
Applications are due January 1, 2001. Fellows become UCAR employees but
work at various member institutions.
