[All-postdocs] Workshop Announcement: Establishing Scientific Ocean Drilling Learning Communities

Dear Fellow Postdocs,

I am excited to announce an upcoming workshop related to scientific ocean drilling (SciOD). For over five decades, through SciOD, scientists have sought to explore Earth’s past climate, improve climatic models, assess future ocean health, discover the deep biosphere, and advance our understanding of natural hazards. This workshop is designed to provide mentorship, skill-sharing, and community- building for students and early career researchers (including postdocs) in order to establish resilient, diverse, and inclusive SciOD learning communities for the future. I wanted to extend this invitation to you and encourage you to apply for this workshop. Additionally, I kindly request your support in sharing this opportunity with students in your network who may benefit from attending. We are specifically soliciting applications from those who are new to SciOD, including participants from across all demographics, experience levels, geographic locations, and career areas.

This is a funded workshop, and all your expenses (flights, lodging, meals) will be covered. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
