Dear MIT and WHOI colleagues,

We’re writing to share news about an upcoming event that features an 
MIT/WHOI graduate student competing in a science communication 
competition at the Museum of Science. Sabrina Elkassas is a PhD student 
in the MIT WHOI joint program and associated with the Center for Dark 
Energy Biosphere Investigations. She’s a finalist in the virtual Reach 
Out Science Slam Finals <https://www.mos.org/reach-out-challenge>on 
*Tuesday, May 4 at 7pm ET (6pm CT, 5pm MT, 4pm PT)*. Six early career 
researchers will compete to see who can tell the best science story in 
just 3 minutes, and who will win over our panel of celebrity judges, 
including Raven Baxter <https://www.scimaven.com/>, Emily Calandrelli 
<http://www.thespacegal.com/>, Jorge Cham <https://jorgecham.com/>and 
Melissa Cristina Márquez <https://www.melissacristinamarquez.com/>.
