Hi All,
Some local professional musician friends are putting on this amazing
live musical show about the oceans in Cotuit this week. I went to see it
in central mass last year and its was a pretty cool experience, I highly
recommend it!
Looks like they have student prices (I think its $15 actually). Do you
all know, or can you help, distribute to student and postdoc lists? Its
not often we get this quality of modern and experimental music on cape,
people might be interested.
Mak
*What is/BLACK INSCRIPTION/??

Good Morning!
In twelve days, Matthias and I open a 4-performance run of /Black
Inscription /at the Cotuit Center for the Arts.
It’s a really ambitious piece, both technically and musically... it
brings together an all-star 7-piece band and a 5-member tech and design
crew, and involves elaborate video, set, lighting and sound design...
all to help us tell you the story of one woman’s Odyssean journey into
the sea.
Though most of our creative team are coming from NYC, LA and Boston,
there are a couple of band-members that musically-attuned Cape Codders
will recognize: Ariel Parkington (Parkington Sisters) and Jon Evans
(Tori Amos, and a million other wonderful things locally and
internationally).
*The theater has taken a huge risk in presenting /Black Inscription/.
It’s not your usual tribute band show, and it’s certainly not Mary
Poppins. They’re really excited about the run, but a bit nervous about
ticket sales. As are we. *
Help us prove to them that Cape Cod can support new work like this!
We need to fill the 75-seat room four times. We can do it, but we really
need your help.
Here’s what you can do:
*• Buy your tickets TODAY for /Black Inscription/: *
https://artsonthecape.org/explore/black-inscription
(Student tickets are only $10.)
*• Reach out to a few friends and invite them to help fill a whole row! *
Make a date of it: Have an early dinner first, or a late dinner after!
/Black Inscription/ is only 68 minutes long with no intermission.
Thu/Fri/Sat shows are at 7:30. Sunday is at 2pm. Kids are welcome!
You can find out more about the show, and our creative team here:

Thank you all for helping us make this run a success!
Yours,
Carla & Matthias
