On Saturday September 28th 2019, volunteers from around the country
will participate in our nation's largest single day volunteer event,

    National Public Lands Day!

Join park rangers at the Cape Cod Canal for a trash clean up along
the Canal's South side (Cape Side). Volunteer registration begins at
9:00 am at 99 Freezer Rd in Sandwich. Clean up begins at 10:00 am
and finishes up at 2:00pm. Shuttles will be running throughout the
day to drop off and pick up volunteers at different locations along
the canal. Trash bags, gloves, grabbers and lunch will all be
provided. Trash collected will be weighed, sorted and documented.
Data collected will be combined with data captured from other canal
clean-ups held in 2019 and used to create a display for the Cape Cod
Canal Visitor Center in 2020.  Interested in forming a group to
volunteer? Or helping us sort and document the trash collected?
Questions?  Contact Park Ranger Elisa Carey for more information at
    elisa.d.carey at usace.army.mil
