[All-postdocs] postdoctoral scholar tax filing questions (for pay without withholding)

Hi, all.  This is a question for postdoctoral scholars, who get paid
without any taxes being withheld.

How do we enter our pay when we file taxes?  Is there a category of pay it
belongs in?  Is there a special form we need?  (And if you use TurboTax
online to file, where do we enter this type of pay on there?  Does the free
edition cover this?)

(I know we have to do quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments,
but I started work here in December, so I did not make enough money in 2018
to start the estimated tax payments, so I have not made any estimated
payments yet... in case that info affects answers to my questions above.)
