*Original settlers celebrated at Wampanoag Day*

The Bourne Historical Society will offer a chance to learn about Native 
American history and culture at the 15th annual Wampanoag Day with 
hands-on activities for children and adults, including long-bow and 
double-bow demonstrations and traditional crafts. The Wampanoag Singers 
and Dancers will perform at 2 p.m. There will be Native American crafts 
vendors, native food, and hamburgers and hot dogs.

*When:* 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday

*Where:* The Aptucxet Trading Post Museum, 24 Aptucxet Road, Bourne

*Admission:* $5, $2 for children and $10 for a family. Native people in 
regalia will be admitted for free.

*The Buzzards Bay Coalition will lead a guided walk at The Knob in 
Quissett on Saturday, September 16. *

Participants can mark the autumnal equinox there with a casual walk 
beginning at 6:15 PM and watch the sun set over Buzzards Bay.

This free activity is offered by the coalition in partnership with the 
Quissett Harbor Preservation Trust and the Salt Pond Areas Bird Sanctuaries.
