Coastal-Environment -- Email list for professionals involved with the AMS Committee on Coastal Environment

About Coastal-Environment
English (USA)

Coastal-Environment@whoi.edu is a list for professionals involved with the AMS STAC Committee on the Coastal Environment. It is designed for the distribution of information such as upcoming AMS conference announcements, topical developments in the field, job postings, and science opportunities. The list is moderated.

The American Meteorological Society's Science and Technology Activities Commission (STAC) is made up of a number of Committees which work to further the dissemination of knowledge within their respective fields. The mission of the Committee on the Coastal Environment is to facilitate and promote awareness of coastal zone oceanographic and meteorological processes. The primary means of accomplishing this is through the organization of symposia at AMS Annual Meetings, the hosting of short courses, supporting student involvement, and authoring AMS policy statements and position papers.
